Bernardo Silva scored a late winner as Manchester City reached the FA Cup final with a 1-0 victory over Brighton at Wembley.

The Portugal international's strike in the 90th minute settled a tight contest, with City having to work hard to break down a stubborn Brighton defence.

City will now face either Newcastle or Arsenal in the final on Saturday, May 27.

"It was a tough game," said City boss Pep Guardiola. "Brighton are a very good team and they made it very difficult for us.

"But we kept fighting and we eventually got the goal we needed."

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi said: "I'm very proud of my players. They played a great game and we were unlucky not to get something from it.

"But we can hold our heads high and we can be proud of what we have achieved this season."
